The Abbey Inn & Spa
The Abbey Inn & Spa draws warmly mixed but largely fond praise from guests, with staff members like Donnan at the bar earning particular affection for going well beyond expectations, sourcing kosher ice cream at his own initiative, while the sweeping Hudson Valley grounds and the restaurant Apropos, with its warm bread and well-crafted cocktails, offer a quietly special setting that has moved more than one visitor to describe it as a hidden gem, even if the occasional thin-walled room and patchy front-desk welcome remind you that the experience can vary depending on your luck on the day.
